The NASA Roman Space Telescope has launched aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy, marking a big step in understanding dark energy, black holes, and exoplanets. Seen as part of a broader telescope system, Roman’s wide-field infrared capabilities will survey the sky far faster than Hubble and work in concert with Webb and Hubble to map the universe in multiple wavelengths.
