Scientists have made significant progress towards creating element 120, the heaviest element ever. Researchers at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory used a titanium beam to create livermorium, a step towards synthesizing element 120. The experiment demonstrated the feasibility of using titanium, despite its challenges. The success of this experiment provides optimism for future attempts, planned for 2025, using californium. This could deepen our understanding of the strong force and the formation of exotic elements in the universe.
