Friday, May 1st: Banff Field Trip
Join us on a trip to Banff, Alberta, one of Canada’s national treasures!
- Meetup at 9:00am for a 9:30am departure from Sandman Hotel.
- Stops:
- 11am: Bow Falls (photo op!)
- 11:45: Sulphur Mountain (Gondola/Hot Springs): If you want to go up on the Gondola, you will need to book either the 11:50am or the 12:10pm time slot – we recommend you pay for your ticket in advance (~$75). You can have lunch in the restaurant at the summit. OR
- 11:45: Parks Admin. Building/Cascade Gardens/Downtown – lots to do and see in the area, we will have lunch downtown.
- 2:30pm: Cave and Basin.
- Meetup 3:30pm for a 4:00pm departure from Banff.
- Car pools will be arranged for anyone who wants to attend.
- Note: additional charges apply – you will be asked to contribute for gas money, purchase your own food/beverages, and any tickets for museum or other entrance fees.
Saturday, May 2nd: Dinner at Barcelona Restaurant
Join other conference participants for a dinner at a local restaurant. Note: you are responsible for paying for your own meal.
