RCMP raided a compound in Richmound, Saskatchewan, arresting 16 adults including cult leader Romana Didulo, who calls herself the “Queen of Canada.” For two years, Didulo and her followers occupied a former school in the village, alarming residents with threats, bizarre beliefs, and disruptive behaviour. The group stems from the QAnon movement and has morphed into a sovereign citizen cult. Followers see Didulo as a supreme ruler who tells them not to pay taxes, reject vaccines, and even believe she has alien powers. For many locals, the arrests brought relief after months of fear and tension.
