In 1980 James Randi went to Australia to conduct a test of the claims of Water Diviners or Dowers. He had a $10,000.00 cheque in his pocket to give to anyone who could prove, under controlled conditions, that they could find underground water. The original documentary of the event, which was broadcast on Australian television, has been lost for decades, with the only known copy being one recorded via a VCR in 1980. To celebrate the 45th anniversary of the event, the documentary has been digitally restored to sparkling clarity, including a sound remix, from the VCR version.
